Case Structure:
Client & Challenge: A large petrochemical storage enterprise needed to upgrade safety monitoring in explosive hazardous areas such as tank farms and loading/unloading gantries. The requirement was for equipment with intrinsic explosion-proof certification, capable of centralized monitoring of gas concentration, fire alarms, and video feeds.
Our Solution: Provided ATEX/IECEx-certified explosion-proof industrial computers and consoles to build a safety monitoring network.
System Architecture:
Field Explosion-Proof Equipment: Installed explosion-proof touchscreen all-in-one PCs in hazardous areas (Zone 1/Zone 2) for local data display and operation.
Central Monitoring: Established an explosion-proof console system in the safe-area central control room, aggregating and displaying signals from all hazardous area gas detectors, flame detectors, and video surveillance.
Intrinsic Safety: All equipment deployed in hazardous areas held ATEX/IECEx explosion-proof certificates, complying with stringent safety standards.
Network & Backup: Utilized a fiber optic ring network for connectivity. The central system was equipped with an industrial UPS and backup servers.
Technical Highlights: Genuine explosion-proof certified products, secure data access from hazardous areas, high-reliability system design.
Achieved Outcomes: Established a centralized monitoring platform compliant with the highest safety regulations, enabling 24/7 uninterrupted monitoring and early warning for major hazard sources. This assisted the client in passing national-level safety inspections and provided a data foundation for intelligent inspection.
